Top tips to make your towels last longer, retain softness and absorbency.
1) Wash new towels before use to remove excess dye from deeptone and brilliant white.
2) Never use bleach as it breaks down the cotton fibres resulting in lint.
3) Do not use too much detergent as the fluffiness of towels lather quickly sometimes resulting in residue being left.
4) Add 1 cup of distilled vinegar to the wash periodically as it will help to remove musty damp odours and wax build up from the towel.
5) Avoid using fabric conditioners, they coat the towel fibres to make them soft but at the same time reduces the absorbency level.
6) To retain shape after washing, pull any borders back in shape before tumble drying on a low heat to fluff them back up.
7) Tumble drying will enhance the softness of your towels. Remove dry towels promptly, shake out, fold and put away.
Follow these simple tips and you will get the best out of your towels.
